HANDMADE REPRODUCTION

Dating back to the early first century AD, these coins struck under the Celtic king Cunobelin are some of the finest of pre-Roman Britain.
One side features a young, strong and unbridled galloping horse, with branch overhead - a symbol of victory, and bears the name of the king beneath. The other boasts a large, full head of barley, a symbol of the kings' wealth sourced from grain. Providing a good hearty loaf or a thick and refreshing brew, barley was a chief staple in the ancient world on which a merry life depended.
